Collection: The Chronicles of Marnia
Originally from Alexandria, Virginia, Marnie Leskowyak came to Richmond to study art at Virginia Commonwealth University. After a sojourn to New York City, she returned to her adopted home of Richmond and explored her art while working in computer consulting. Her work mixes original composition, painting, collage and digital print manipulation. Touched by the story of “Tommie,” a pit bull horribly abused and rescued by Richmond Animal Care & Control, the first work in her series “Portraits of Pets” was successfully auctioned to raise several hundred dollars for the nonprofit rescue organization. She continues to create whimsical art and is available for commissioned work. Please reach out to the Gallery Coordinator to request a commissioned piece of work.
