Collection: Charles Magistro

Professor Charles Magistro is an award-winning painter and sculptor and is the Professor Emeritus of the William Paterson University Department of Art in Wayne, New Jersey. He served as the Paterson University Art Department Chairman at the Nanjing Art Institute in Nanjing, China. His abstract works have been shown worldwide, and are included in numerous permanent collections, including the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. A frequent lecturer and curator, his works have drawn comparisons to De Kooning and Arthur Dove, and show the influence of time he spent living and working at Picasso’s studio in Paris, France.
